*many people wanted to improve the Tucker-style but they also wanted to keep it as it was
*there were many life and death struggles where hip hop was occurring on the streets.
*i liked how they gave names of people who fought for hip hop being in the world and names of people who thought it was a problem for youngings and others on the street.
*i didn't like how the cops beat the guy with the broom, i know they have the right to bring him in for fighting but they didn't have to beat him like that.
*since there was a rape report when they saw this guy named Amadou Dialo and he was trying to pull out his wallet but anyways the cops fired 41 shots killing him with 19. Again an undercover cop asked a guy for drugs but the guy was trying to turn his life around so refused to tell him and then the cop shot him dead in the chest.

*why do they make it seem like hip hop was one of the main reasons violence was going on?
*if cops are suppose to help stop the increase of killing and shootings why are they also so quick to pull out a bullet?

*In 1986, KDAY made an anti gang radio show with Run DMC and Barry White and they made a “Day of Peace in that November.

* in the middle of 1991 two people who were described of having black power were O'Shea "ice cube" Jackson and Angela Y. Davis.
* i never knew that ice cube didn't have a strong son and father relationship and basically only had his mother.
* i thought it was funny but real when it said "Every Mother***** with a color was wanted" because back then that's when the streets were really crazy.
* I never knew that Angela Davis was a anti feminist.
* i thought it was cool for the two of them to meet when one was fighting for black people especially men and one for black women but they were still kind of against each other.

* The 1st part I read was like this book I read before when this kid was a drug dealer but at heart he wanted to be in the music business and before he could make his decision he got locked up.
* I knew that some rap music was dirty but I didn’t know the main theme was “filthy, dirty-down X-rated rhymes” (Dr. Dre) I thought it was the beat.
